Hank

I went running after work last Friday, and I was about to turn arround because it was now dark and frigid cold, when I saw a tiny little puppy under a lamp post. No one was arround, it was dark and cold and he is tiny (6.5 lbs) So, I brought him home with me....

I had every intention of finding his owner, because who could abandon a puppy this cute? But the only people who have responded to the ads and postings are people wanting to adopt him. What should I do?

I took him by a vet, they estimate he is about 8 weeks old, he's still teething, just learned how to go up and down stairs today and is still pretty clumsy. I tihnk he will be a mid-sized dog, but not sure of the breed(s). What do you guys think? He's super sweet and playful, seems to be pretty smart, is doing great with house breaking and crate training, and even the cat is learing to like him.

You can see his pictures on my Flickr page; http://www.flickr.com/photos/79445628@N00/

Summer Update

Here's a little update for our plans for the summer:

Chuck accepted an internship position with the San Diego Coast Keepers. It is a non-profit organization that is affiliated with a National organization. He actually worked with the River and Bay Keepers while working at Dept of Natural Resources in Maryland. He is very excited and it's exactly the type of thing he wanted to be a part of in the future.

This was the one internship that he interveiwed for that he felt would be worth the money moving for. So...we are moving to San Diego for the summer. Gates Construction has been renting an apartment on a monthly basis in San Diego for their supervisors to live in while completeing a project there. The project will be complete the middle of June and then we will take over the apartment.

We will move in with Chuck's parents for only a month now. I decided to it would be better to move to the Gates' home the middle of May, after Chuck's finals. He will be stressed out enough with school, he doesn't need the stress on living with his parents at the same time.

At the end of the internship hopefully we will know for sure where we might be moving (or staying here). It should be nice because I will have already packed everything before the baby is born.

I am still planning a trip to the East coast for July. How long I stay now depends on how demanding Chuck's internship is.
