updates

got an email from Singapore yesterday, they feel that February/March would be a better time fos us to come, the ICU beds will be open and there will be more for us to do. Unfortunaltley, I'm hoping to be back in school this January and have already bought plane tickets to go to Costa Rica again (for a friend's wedding) So I'm passing on Singapore this time arround, I am hoping I will get another chance someday.... I'm also interested to see if the other girl is able to go....

stress

I'm sorry I have been so bad at keeping up.... I've kinda been in a rut, or just too stressed out to really do anything. I have realized that my mechanism for dealing with stress is to just internalize it all, hide it. So,while I'm not a crazy, psycho bitch,my family and friends are always left hanging and asking me "what is going on with you?" Poor Mike broke down the other day because I still don't know when and if I will be going to Singapore, and he was worried I would get two days notice, and he would have to suddenly move into my apartment and take care of my cat, and I would just be gone....

So here's the deal.... We really don't know anything. I am doubtful that it will happen. We keep getting sent to different people who tell us different things. It's a confusing mess. I have sent them almost every official document I have, and they are still making requests. Last week they wanted copies of our diplomas! they already have multiple copies of our transcripts, but that just isn't enough. I felt like a complete jackass at Kinkos making copies of my diploma. It was too big to fit on any of the copiers! Super embarrassing. Maybe next summer we'll get to go. I'm trying not to worry about it anymore... there's not much else I can do. If they want us there, they'll get us there. So, I'll keep you updated.

My Girls

We have a great story time at our local library. They do it twice a week and there is always a theme for the week. The lady will read a few stories then there is always a craft.

Last week was the theme was whales. Leland kept breaking out in the "Shamu! Shamu!" chant waving her arms like a whale fin. You have to have been to a Shamu show at Sea World to understand what I mean or ask Leland sometime to show you.

They made this awesome bubble maker out of a plastic cup, a piece of fabric, rubber bands, and a straw. You were also supposed to wrap this whale around the outside of the cup so it looked like bubbles were coming out of the blow hole, but Leland loved making the bubbles she wouldn't let me put the whale on.

I took Lucy to her 4 month check up last week. She is getting so big. She is almost 27 in long! That puts her in the 95th percentile. She is growing out of her 3-6 month clothes very quickly.

She coos all the time and is rolling all over the place. She loves her big sister so much and yells to get her attention a lot of the time.
I still can't believe how she looks nothing like Leland did at this age. My sister, Christine, thinks she looks like me as I am right now, but not how I was as a baby.

Real Estate mogul

I am finally buying a building for the studio. It is a HUGE old bulding 3 doors down from my current spot. It has been a big leap of faith. And a big finacial risk. Our flip house closes on Friday!!

So i will take possesion of the building IN November and start revovating right away as much as i can find funding for. So keep me in your prayers and wish me luck that the money fairy will come along!!

Kristen have you heard about your trip.

Ash-what is new with you.

I miss both of you so much!!
