6 days and counting

I have less than a week left till I start going crazy waiting for this baby. I just will go nuts going over my due date. My mom comes in on Saturday (2nd) and will be here until the 12th.

Kristen - I miss that you won't be here with me for this baby being born. It was so great to have you there with Leland.

This morning Leland was singing "Happy birthday to Kiki" It was so funny.

San Diego is really nice. I am so glad we decided to all move down here. I would have been going crazy at Chuck's parents by myself with him down here. His job is very flexible which is great and very laid back. They told him it would pretty casual, but the first day everyone was in jeans and t-shirts and Chuck was in a shirt and tie. He thinks he's really going to like it and be able to learn a lot.

He's sent off some transfer applications so now the waiting game begins. He did really well this past semester so hopefully that helps. We love San Diego already so much more than Orange it will kind of suck to go back.

My Birthday

Well this was my big birthday surprise!! Tim sent my skydiving! Holy crap it was fun-but very scary when the door of our tiny plane flew open at an altitude of 11,000 and your legs start to get sucked out. Now i can cross that of my list of things to do in my life. My husband rocks-he comes up with the best gifts.

Well i'm glad i'm alive-i love you both.

Weekend Alone

I've had a weekend alone, which has been nice but surprisingly boring. Chuck took Leland to Las Vegas for his neice's baptism. I didn't go because I was in charge of a Primary activity on Sat and had church commitments on Sunday. Chuck felt bad being away from me on Mother's day, but I told him that was the best Mother's day present - not to have to do any mothering.

So here's my weekend:

Saturday - Primary Activity, took a nap, talked on the phone, went shopping at the mall, watched a movie (Chuck called to tell me how exhausted he was from taking care of Leland all day by himself)

Sunday - church, 3 hour nap, attended a baptism, made Leland a dress while watching another movie (Chuck called to tell me Leland threw up on him at 5:30am and at 9pm realized that he never fed her lunch or dinner)

Monday - slept in till 9am, talked on the phone and now blogging (Chuck called because Leland was asking him to sing a particular song and he couldn't understand her, he needed me to translate)

It has been very nice for me to just relax and I think it's been great for Chuck and Leland to have some time together. I know that Chuck appreciates all that I do, but this gives him a taste of what it's really like. They come home later today. My house seems so quiet and empty. I am very excited for them to come home.

Now it's time for us to kick in to gear with the packing. We move on Friday. I have packed a few boxes but I get frustrated because once they're packed they are too heavy for me to move. So I decided to wait till Chuck is back to help.
